Design Engineer Specialist
Researches, develops, designs, and test electrical components, equipment, and systems; Coordinates and expedites flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between sections or departments by performing the following duties. Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes. Designs and directs engineering personnel in fabrication of test control apparatus and equipment, and determines methods, procedures, and conditions for testing products. Develops applications of controls, instruments, and systems for new commercial, domestic, and industrial uses. Directs activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications and customer requirements. Directs and coordinates operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems in field installations. Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks. Reviews production schedules and related information and confers with department leads to determine material requirements to identify overdue materials and to track material. Requisitions material and establishes sequential delivery dates to departments, according to job order priorities and material availability. Examines material delivered to production departments to verify conformance to specifications. Arranges in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules. Computes amount of material required to complete job orders. Compiles and maintains manual or computerized records such as material inventory, in process production reports, and status and location of materials. Moves or transports materials from one department to another. Arranges for repair and assembly of material or part Monitors and controls movement of material and parts on automated conveyor system. Other duties may be assigned. Supervisory experience is a plus.
Senior Civil Engineer The Senior Civil Engineer supervises and performs professional engineering work in the design, construction, inspection, and review of public engineering projects; performs the most complex professional engineering work. Incumbents are expected to exercise considerable discretion and independent judgment in the supervision, coordination, and prioritization of different projects within the area of responsibility, as well as providing direction and technical expertise in the more complex engineering assignments. The ideal candidate will possess the equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree with major course work in civil engineering or a closely related field. Also is required is possession of a California Registration as a Professional Civil Engineer, with good standing, or the ability to obtain within one year of hire. A minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible professional engineering experience is required, including supervisory experience.
Civil Engineer III
You will be required to apply applicable design criteria, design tools, best practices, and established work processes when creating the documentation required to support the design and construction of civil work in new or existing process plants. You will be required to manage and coordinate the work of a team of civil engineers and designers, as well as efficiently coordinate with all other design disciplines, such as construction, procurement, project management, project engineering, project controls, process engineering, and process automation, to successfully complete the design of the civil portion of projects. In this position, you will be responsible for accuracy, completeness and quality of all aspects of civil engineering/design on projects. Other duties maybe assigned. 6 years of experience in civil/structural engineering. PE certification would be much appreciated.
